EPIS offers the extensible modeling capabilities of the AURORAxmp Electric Market Model, including:

AURORAxmp annual license includes one AURORA database.
- AURORA North American Database OR
- AURORA European Database
The fee for an additional database and updates after January 1, 2010 is $20,000.
These capabilities are provided for one annual license price. There are no separate annual maintenance, upgrade, per-use or royalty fees. Also, basic training for users is included. There are four levels of licenses available: Single-User, Two-User, Company, and Two-Business License. The licensing approaches and prices for licensees are described below:

- Single-User License - Use of AURORAxmp by one named user installed on any Licensee computer. Delivered with one database - (AURORA North American database or AURORA European database).
- Two-User License - Use of AURORAxmp by two named users installed on any Licensee computers. Delivered with one database - (AURORA North American database or AURORA European database).
- Company License - Use of AURORAxmp by any number of users installed on any Licensee computers.
- Two Business License - Use of AURORAxmp any number of users within TWO affiliates and/or subsidiaries with a common parent or holding company. Delivered with one database - (AURORA North American database or AURORA European database).
- Optional Nodal Capability License This optional capability can be added to any of the above license types for an additional fee of $30,000 annually.
- Internal Use Pricing - For non-exclusive annual license for a company or organization that uses AURORAxmp as a single-entity for its internal business purposes.
- Consulting Firm Pricing - For non-exclusive annual license for a consulting firm, business or organization in the business of selling modeling results to external clients.

All prices are in U.S. Dollars (US$) and the above prices assume the standard provisions in EPIS License Agreements including but not limited to: 1) one payment due on the Effective Date of the License, 2) annual auto-renewal with full right to terminate at the end of any term without obligation, 3) no refunds for termination before the end of an annual term, 4) EPIS does not provide for software escrow; however, for an additional fee, source code is available and 5) governing law. Licensees may choose an alternate venue for an additional annual fee. Prices and Services are subject to change.
Licensing Fees
AURORAxmp - Internal Nodal Capability Pricing.
This optional capability may be licensed in conjunction with any of the above licenses. To see pricing, click here.
AURORAxmp users may add the new, fully integrated Optimal Power Flow and Locational Marginal Pricing (OPF and LMP) option. The annual fee for this is $30,000. To license this option, the Licensee must have a license for the AURORAxmp software. This annual license includes a set of data maps and a power flow case. Normal software upgrades will be provided to the Licensee at no cost for as long as the Licensee is a current licensee of the software.
Nodal analysis data can only be delivered to entities that have received Critical Energy Infrastructure Information (CEII) approval from FERC or have received approval from an appropriate ISO, RTO, Pool, etc. that provides CEII data.
EPIS is required, prior to delivery, to confirm that the receiving entity has the appropriate approvals.
AURORAxmp - PowerWorld Interface Pricing
The Interface may be licensed in conjunction with any of the above licenses. To see pricing for the Interface, click here.
AURORAxmp users may license the Interface. The Interface enables an AURORAxmp user to set up and run PowerWorld Simulator from the AURORAxmp graphical user interface. Based on the set-up assumptions and data maps, AURORAxmp dispatches and performs unit-commitment and dynamically passes hourly data to PowerWorld Simulator. AURORAxmp automatically runs the PowerWorld Simulator option selected to produce generation information and locational marginal prices (LMP) for the hours selected in the study.
To use the Interface, the Licensee must (1) license the Interface from EPIS, and (2) license the PowerWorld Simulator software under a separate agreement from the PowerWorld Corporation. The annual fee for the AURORAxmp-PowerWorld Simulator Interface (A-PWSI) option is $30,000. This annual license includes a complete set of data maps and power flow cases. Normal software upgrades to the Interface Software will be provided to the Interface Licensee at no cost for as long as the Licensee is a current Licensee of the Interface software.
