This free one-day training and demo session is an ideal opportunity for customers and non-customers to see the latest developments in AURORAxmp, the ONE Tool for energy industry modeling.
Attendees will interact with peers, senior EPIS developers and support staff to learn how AURORAxmp is addressing the challenges of today’s power markets.
This year’s agenda includes several exciting sessions designed to help you maximize the value of AURORAxmp to your organization.
Included in the Advanced and General Sessions will be the following topics:
- Tools and Examples: This presentation, back by popular demand, will explore the use of automation and productivity tools in AURORAxmp. Learn new ways to become more proficient!
- Run Scheduling, Web Scraping and Data Automation: In this session we will explore new AURORAxmp functionality which will enable you to automate your modeling process –web scraping to report generation!
- Portfolio Optimization: No risk, all reward. AURORAxmp’s new Portfolio Optimization is sure to be well received. In this session, we will discuss the underlying methodology, demonstrate the use of the new functionality, and show sample results.
- Data Updates and Enhancements: This session will give an overview of noteworthy and recent updates to the AURORA regional input databases. It will highlight enhancements such as those applied to the resources table, as well give insight into demand and transmission. An examination of structural changes affecting emissions will also be included.
- More Recent Enhancements I: This presentation will provide additional examples of recently-added features requested by customers. These features include zonal LP dispatch option, RMR window optimization, ramp down constraints, LT minimum add constraints, and LT retrofit handling.
- More Recent Enhancements II: We continue the discussion from the previous session, but change the flavor to nodal, discussing notable new nodal features including hurdle rates, enhanced marginal losses, branch shadow caps, and further integration of nodal into AURORAxmp’s portfolio functionality.
