This session is designed for new model users and will provide a complete overview of AURORA's features and functionality. This session will also include a live demonstration of the model.
It is highly recommended to those attending the introductory session to bring a Wi-Fi capable device such as a tablet or laptop for the live demo.

5pm - 9pm Join us for a casual and relaxing evening at Eldorado Canyon for drinks, a BBQ dinner and a tour of the Techatticup Mine; the oldest, richest and most famous gold mine in Southern Nevada. This event is for attendees and their "plus-one" guest.
Transportation will be provided for all attendees and guests. Please meet in the lobby at 5pm for shuttle departures. Approximate return time is 9pm.

Friday, Sept. 8, 2017 - Applied Market Forecasting

Friday presentations are given by your peers - expert users of AURORA - addressing challenging issues in the marketplace. Presentations include effective examples of how to enhance your modeling and may include topics like: the impact of renewables, uncertainty and risk, emission policy, etc.

1pm - 5pm Hoover Dam Tour - The Power Plant Tour offers a combination of presentations by Reclamation guides, audio and film presentations, exhibits and other media that provide a comprehensive view of the massive dam and its operations, as well as highlight many of the unique features around the site. It takes about two hours to discover all the features at Hoover Dam.
The Dam Tour offers another a way to see, learn and appreciate what the Hoover Dam is all about. This tour offers guided exploration into lesser known parts of the dam and lasts longer than the Power Plant Tour.
NOTE: Dam Tour tickets cannot be guaranteed as they are available on a first come-first served basis, but we will do our best to make this possible.
No food or drink is permitted inside the Visitor Center except water. The Power Plant tour is not recommended for those with pacemakers or claustrophobia. No weapons, including pocket knives, are allowed inside the Visitor Center.
Transportation will be provided for all participants - meet in the lobby for prompt departures at 1pm. Approximate return time is 5pm
