EPIS is pleased to offer new tracks this year that are intended to enhance the training experience. These sessions will provide specific focus on pressing issues requested by attendees through survey feedback from the 2016 Group Trainings and the 19th Annual Electric Market Forecasting Conference.
The Introductory Track (continued) will provide hands-on modeling of general topics that were discussed in the morning session. Attendees should bring a laptop with the latest version of AURORA installed. Upon registering, attendees of this track will receive a prerequisite checklist to complete prior to the training.
The Deep Dive Tracks are designed to go in-depth, looking closely at various issues and different modeling approaches within AURORA. We'll take time to explore the structure set-up, timeline implications, and a comparison of approaches to boost your modeling results.
Deep Dive Long-Term: Under the Hood
- Working examples with step-by-step guidance
- Logic types in action: explore Traditional, MinCost, and MaxValue settings
- Review our new, user-friendly Capital Work Calculations workbook. Use it for your inputs or apply your own capital cost assumptions to new technology options
Deep Dive Nodal
The Houston training location will offer a second Deep Dive Track specifically for nodal. Attendees of this track will receive a prerequisite checklist to complete prior to the training. If you are not a current nodal user, but would like to attend this track, please contact Lauren Bierman at firstname.lastname@example.org to obtain a trial license for the training.
